Machine Status Distribution¶
Category: Operating States · Widget ID: status.aggregate
What it shows¶
Shows the aggregated machine states for the selected period — how much time the machine spent in each state — as a chart or a table.
Data and refresh¶
- Data source: Reports API.
- Time range: Respects the selected time period (aggregated over the whole window).
- Machine filter: Respects the selected machine(s).
- Widget locks: You can lock this widget to its own machine and/or time range (Machine lock / Time lock) so it ignores the dashboard filters. See Custom Dashboard.
Configuration¶
Open the slider menu, then select Configure. Apply with Confirm or discard with Close.
| Setting | Choices and default | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Visualization | Chart view (default), Table view | Chooses a chart or a sortable table. |
| Chart type | Donut (default), Stacked horizontal bar | Available in Chart view. Splitting a Donut by machine changes it to a stacked horizontal bar. |
| Breakdown | Status (default), Running state, Planned downtime state | Groups by configured status name, running/not running, or planned/not planned downtime. |
| Value metric | Percent of window time (default), Duration (min), Occurrences | Shows time shares, absolute minutes or occurrence counts. |
| Split by machine | Off by default | Available with multiple selected machines and Status breakdown. Other breakdowns combine machines and disable this option. |
| Status filter | No statuses selected by default | Restricts the report to the chosen configured status numbers. An empty selection includes all statuses. |
| Sort | Value (default), Status, Machine | Available in Table view; orders table rows by value, status label or machine. |
| Sort direction | Descending (default), Ascending | Available in Table view; controls row order. |
| Show legend | On by default | Available in Chart view; identifies the status series. |
| Show totals | On by default | Shows summary values below the chart or table. |

Table view exposes additional sorting settings:

Status filter choices come from the selected machines' status settings. Machine/time locks are in the widget menu.
How to read it¶
Each state gets a share of the total period. In table mode you also see absolute durations. Use it to quantify where time is lost.
Interactions¶
- Widget filter (top-right icon) — open the widget's own settings to change its display.

Troubleshooting¶
Widget shows no data -> No events in the selected machine/period, or a filter is too narrow -> Widen the time range or change the machine, then refresh once -> If a machine that normally reports data stays empty, use Troubleshooting > Connectivity.
